PHILOSOPHY
SERVED ON THE
THE ROCKS
A collection of humourous essays and sundowner ruminations on life, people, society, and everything in between.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
ASHISH JOSHI
A curious observer. A reluctant philosopher. An incurable humourist.
Ashish Joshi is a Bangalore-based author who believes that the best ideas often arrive after six in the evening – usually with a drink in hand and a story to tell. His essays blend everyday experience with wit, wisdom, and a generous dose of sarcasm.
When he’s not writing, he’s designing websites, selling clothes through his online store vibe69.in, overthinking simple things, or arguing with the TV remote.
ABOUT THE BOOK
From family, friends and traffic jams to ageing, nostalgia and the meaning of life – nothing escapes the filter of a sundowner conversation. Life’s everyday absurdities, memories, irritations and little revelations all find their way into the conversation. Witty, honest and relatable, these are conversations best enjoyed with a drink in hand and nowhere particular to be.

My imagination, working in overdrive, acts as cardio for my brain. I need no equipment or expensive gym membership. I simply lie there, awake in the middle of the night, with my mind sprinting like Usain Bolt after three Red Bulls.
